It’s hard to think of two collaborators more weirdly matched than these two. Florence & The Machine make huge, sweeping, dramatic music, all theatrical yowls and church bells. Clams Casino makes small, insular, washed-out rap beats, and he would probably still be cranking out instrumentals in his bedroom if the internet hadn’t figured out that he’s just so damn good at it. But Clams has worked his magic on Florence’s “Never Let Me Go,” and the result is a more seamless combination of their two opposed aesthetics than anyone could’ve expected. Listen below.
