Drake

Last year, Drake gave the internet-rap insurgents of the world a vote of confidence when he took Kendrick Lamar and ASAP Rocky along as opening acts on his Club Paradise tour. That was cool. But the thing he’s doing this summer could be even cooler. This time around, he’s touring the arenas of the U.S. with a ridiculously stacked lineup of rappers: Waka Flocka Flame, J. Cole, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, French Montana. Do you guys realize the implications of this? That’s like a touring production of the Hot 97 Summer Jam! That’s an opportunity to hear practically all the good songs on rap radio — “The MottoandHouse PartyandSpend ItandShot Caller” — all in one place! It’s too awesome. We’ve got all of Drake’s dates, including the European ones before the tour kicks off, below.

  1. I think I may have officially aged out of the demo.

  2. How is Drake live? I’ve seen his performances on late night TV and awards shows which were alright, but I know in most instances, hip-hop can more often than not translate poorly. Also, living in the dead middle of suburbia where seeking out a good show is a trying effort, this is probably the only interesting summer music event that will happen in my area (Just yesterday, a car full of guys blaring Skrillex-sounding stuff — I know, the irony — stopped short in front of me so they could pull up next to some Friday Night Lights-looking chick wearing barely anything due to the warm weather and yelled out, “Hey baby, baby, what’s your number?!” She gave it to them for some messed up reason and I just don’t get life.)

  3. the motto is wack as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuux
