The Dandy Warhols - This Machine

Nobody’s making documentaries about glammy Portland drug-rock lifers the Dandy Warhols anymore, but they’re still kicking and still writing ridiculously catchy bottom-heavy psych jams. The band will release their new album This Machine next month, and we’ve got a download of opening track “Sad Vacation” below.

This Machine is out 4/24 on The End Records.

  1. Really really dig!ging this track. I was iffy on the other one at first but it has really grown on me. I’m hoping the second track is kind of a rocker because this one builds and builds but never quite breaks a rawkin second track would make dreams come true. woot!

  2. i always love the Dandies, and NOT just because Zia used to show us all her boobies, though it helped…

  3. Oooh, this a tantalising. Really starting to get excited about this album.

I thought Earth… was criminally underrated. Maybe this will be the album that gets the Dandies back into everybody’s good books.

  4. Just bought a promo copy of the album that mysteriously appeared in the used section at Everyday Music in Portland. It is very good. I’ve spun through it about three times and it definitely feels like an album I’d like to get to know more. It feels like a logical next step but brings back a lot of the old flair that a lot of people have missed. Well done Dandys, well done.
