Arctic Monkeys

The blitz of sideshows prior to and around both Coachella weekends kicked off in grand fashion as Arctic Monkeys played to a sold out pack of rabid fans at the tiny Glass House in Pomona. Alex Turner and the boys were in top form as they rifled through an eighteen song set that included “R U Mine?” which will be released on 7″ purple vinyl on Record Store Day 4/21. Fellow garage rockers the Soft Pack served as a fitting opener. Check out the pictures of Alex jumping off the drum kit above and the setlist below.

  1. Saw the Arctic Monkeys march 19th in Chicago. They blew The Black Keys away. The Black Keys play things way to fast live. Also the Soft Pack need a new album NOW! their debut was solid

  2. Wow, only 3 songs off the new album (plus 2 released after) out of 18. Interesting…

  3. Alex is really looking like shit. he regressed from his 70s schtick straight to a fucking teddy boy. i’m an asshole too.

    • you cant expect him to look exactly the same as he did pre-fame or whatever.
josh homme and leather jackets and american deserts do that thing to a person where his behaviour and yes, appearance, change.

  4. Who cares what you look like, if the music is good the music is good.
