Billy Corgan is still whining on his his blog. Here are some choice quotes from the latest post:

“I am going to share some things with you that you have never heard me say. The truth of the matter is that James Iha broke up the Smashing Pumpkins. Not me, not Jimmy, but James. Did it help that D’arcy was fired for being a mean-spirited drug addict, who refused to get help? … Not at all. Many friends at the time suggested letting James leave, so Jimmy and I could continue on under the name. But I was too loyal to the man I had started the whole thing with.”

Someone get the man a Deadjournal already!

Moby founded a Lower East Side teahouse called Teany (teaNY, get it?), and Billy Corgan wants to follow in his footsteps by opening one in Chicago, making opening teahouses a favourite pastime of annoying bald musicians from the 90s. Why warm beverages?

  1. “Someone get the man a Deadjournal already!”

    LOL!

  2. Billy, Billy, Billy….. Why on earth does the egotistical one have to assign blame as to who broke up Smashing Pumpkins. I love the pumpkins and lamented their demise but having been in more than one band that has fallen apart I know that no one single member of a band breaks it up or apart. That is like saying the first one to leave a dead marriage is the one that broke it apart. It is far too simplistic, bands break up over time, they decay if things are not going right and the first one to leave is probably just the smartist one who is less of a masochist than the others. As far as Corgan and James Iha’s relationship is concerned, I have read that after Iha walked out he has never hooked up with Corgan since… so there has got to be some bloody deep issues there between them. Billy… just get over it and write some great music again.

when i was reading his post and he went into the “i cant live a lie, no more lies, etc” i thought he was gonna come out of the closet.

I heard that I did, although wasn’t he banging some super models for a while?

  6. Fuck you all.
Billy Corgan is the greatest, his music touches the heart of the spirited ones, his music is like an island of grace, surrounded by a sea of shit. Lots of junk pieces of shit like you people saying stupidity about him, and still his music survives in the middle.
Smashing Pumpkins was a true urge of beauty, power, friendship and bloom. Of course human people find stupid things to fight about, and then, voilá, they broke up.
So shut the fuck up, damn stupid nimrods who doesnt know a fuck about nothing. Go smoke some crack in your little stupid forgotten american town, and don’t make an effort to stay alive.
    So I say.

I agree, Billy Corgan is wonderful. Do you have nothing better to do but talk shit about some guy who you’ll never have the privilege to meet and truly get to know his character? For not knowing anything about the man, you sure do talk a lot of shit. I’m probably half your age with about 3 times the intelligence, compassion, and maturity.
“…and a fuck you to all those who will never understand” -bc

  8. cfsingers  |   Posted on May 16th, 2004

so sad…so little compassion, so little understanding…so little intelligence. he (bc) is so beatiful/tragic/intense/insightful…everything one would look for in a lover/friend/brother, and all of you who look for one-night-stand kind of loves are so ready to judge. love him for what he gave us/you/the world…for his humanity. we broadcast the accomplishments and failures alike…and you judge his words so harshly…without understanding…without grace. you’re silly little people with silly little ideas and silly little amounts of tattered understanding. if you pile every wrong against every right he has produced in this world…the right should stand high enough that you should let his wrong alone…you little people.

I agree with whoever said Fuck you all…you can’t comprehend quality music when you hear it…if you did, you wouldnt be making assumptions about an incredible artist (bc) Stop being so steriotypical and brainwashed in that all you listen to are your generic blink 182 bands. I laugh at you…

  10. dayana  |   Posted on Oct 26th, 2004

i totally agree w/ the recent posts.

fucking stupid kids. yeah, go listen to some of your AMAZING evanescence or some good charlotte. since that is real music and smashing pumpkins were too whiny for you. don’t make fun of something you dont understand. tards.
keep bc’s name out of your mouths have some fuckin respect you uncultured imbeciles.

  11. Google linked me to this page, nice reading

“How are you, my dear friends…as I write this, it is freezing outside here in Chicago, and I don’t have any of my Christmas shopping done (this reminds me of every Christmas!)…i hope that wherever you are, you are with loved ones, and are warm, happy, and motivated for the coming year.”–BC’s most recent weblog entry.. Yea what a whiny ass… Oh wait, isnt the main point of a journal to get shit off your chest? What he’s saying is true im guessing, and many fans find it entertesting, and he feels better for putting it out there. You would know shit about his life. But the fact that he was a 6’2 whiny voiced white boy who became a rock god who actually wrote his own shit all through his career, gives him the right to say whatever the fuck he wants about his band, on HIS blogring. So go back to slipknot, linkin park, evanescence, Nelly, whatever corporate made imaginless emotionless shit that is put on to the radio today, and leave one of (if not the) greatest musician (note: writes his own shit entirely) of the 20th century alone.

  13. you shut your mouth.i agree, you teeny bopper g.charlotte,”i’m gonna hump that simple plan guy one day”, shit heads.you take your simle plan perfect, i’ll take my smashing pumpkins perfect. Billy is a wonderful person.I’ll probably think even more so when i meet him.He said so himself, that he loves all beings, including those that oppose him, and i stand by him and encourage you to do a little more research before you say something. I love you all, but without Billy’s philosophy i’d probably kick your ass. and for the fans who don’t know, billy’s album is called TheFutureEmrace and is due at the end of may!!

  14. josh  |   Posted on May 22nd, 2005

billy corgan is one of the greatest musicians ever. anyone who doesn’t agree… fuck you! if you can’t appreciate the man, then something is very wrong. i can’t wait for his new album.

  15. You guys have too much time on your hands. You can love a musician without searching for reasons to blast your opinion to the world.

All of you who are saying Fuck You! to an opposing opinion: Kill yourself.

  16. Punkus  |   Posted on Jun 2nd, 2005

Hey I love the mans music as well. SP is one of my all time favorite bands. But its sad he keeps blaming Iha. Iha obviously wants to move on BC should as well.
BC is notoriously difficult to work with, a prima donna it is said. Everything has to be done only his way. I think this was the problem. A genius, quite possibly.

  17. I don’t care what the critics say about The Future Embrace, I thought it was beautiful. like all things that are different, you have you give it a chance to let it grow on you, but most people are only about the “right now this second” mind set, so they let a beautiful thing like this album pass them by, thier loss, i say.
