Hmmm, What Should I Tell You Guys?
Hmmm, what should I tell you guys? Things have been so busy around here. Let me first say thank you for going out to get The Singles Collection. It has been really rewarding to see the response to the record. We are now getting ready to go on tour to celebrate and play together again. We are still in shock about winning the Grammy!! What is going on?two years in a row?!! We had a really fun night all hanging together. I had my little 8-year-old niece with me. She is just starting to get into No Doubt so it was really fun to see her little face when we won.
Went to London to sing with Alicia Keyes and Missy Elliot at the Brit awards last month. It was cool to hang with those girls and see how they are. Alicia is one of the most positive and up-lifting people I have met in a while. Missy is cool cool cool !!!
I have been in the studio working on my dance record. It has been really challenging but over the last few weeks I have been able to turn a corner. On the way home from London I stopped off in Atlanta to finish some tracks with Dallas Austin. I got three done and we are going to finish two more here in LA this week. Tony and I have a new track we are working on that is really a mixture of everything we loved growing up: Prince, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, and Club Nouveau. I have over 16 songs and plan on writing as many as it takes to make it great. It is starting to feel like a record and I can see it coming together. I am hoping to have a single out some time this summer. I have loads of ideas and tricks up my sleeve so watch out. I?m scared for you.
The first collection of LAMB is coming out anytime in stores. It is very exciting for me. It has been a project I have been working on for over two years. It is an interesting process because by the time the clothes come out they seem almost old to me. I want to go and see them in the stores. I am always most excited about whatever I am working on at the moment. I am currently working on Spring 2005!! Crazy how it works. I feel like LAMB is something that is going to take a long time to grow. It is still at the baby stage and I am still learning about design.
I just signed on to do one more season with LeSportsac. I couldn?t say no. It is really funny to see everyone with the bags. The second shipment for Spring 2004 is hot and should be out soon. I just started Fall 2004 and I am really excited for these ones. It is so fun to make bags selfishly for me!
Everything is great and I?m really looking forward to seeing you at the shows!!!!!!!

poor gwen. i like her as a pop culture figure and all, but that sounds like a holiday card letter written by a 17 year old. as i continued to read, a paragraph about how she and gavin are considering when would be a good time to have a baby did not seem out of the question.
indeed, i was scared for myself.
so I am not a blogger…this is the very first time ever on one of these sites. But I had to get this off my mind..oh Gwen she is sooo cool, from music to clothing to her adorable line of perfumes! I have them all.. Seeing her today in a mall in Hawaii, I felt well llike a teenager again, except with 2 kids! sad to say, she couldn’t take a picture with my boys..which I totally understand:-( just made me think, hmm was it my appearance( we were running errands all day( , or just not the right time…the night before Trump jr at a private event we were at, at least had a genuine smile and was very gracious:-) oh well…just had to get that off my chest, and as beautiful as Gwen looked in person, my image of her not the same….
And then, like, I was so, like, excited about going to the mall! Like, ohmygod!!!!
Use a few more ‘!!!!!’ next time, ok Gwen?

i admit, she does sound slightly ditzy in her entries…but she’s not, if you watch a concert, an interview, any sort of backstage footage…anything…she doesn’t come across that way at all.

I thought this was a good entry. I love gwen. She is my idol. She does seem ditsy but she’s not. i’ve seen ND is concert and they rocked. I think she just wants to have fun and it seems it starts with the way she writes to her fans. I really don’t care about that post but I will say that there’s something to be said for an attractive female singer that, in this era, actually demonstrates a fairly high level of originality and creativity in their music. No Doubt has done some very good songs AND they’ve stood the test of time. Aside from Karen O, are there any other female singers that do respectable, relatively innovative, non-calculated, rockish music? NO. (That annoying girl from Evanescense DOESN’T COUNT. Rap-rock needs to die).

gwen stefani is something else. She is one of the most ‘it’ girls in hollywood right now, along with lindsay lohan and paris hilton, but she is above the status of being in comparision with them. Stefani doesnt fill up tabloids with trash and when i read about her it is positive and comforting to hear. it is amazing to me that there is someone like her to look up to in hollywood these days, besides those trashy-cocaine-in-the-bathroom-party-all-night-girls. Gwen’s style is so in your face, and unique that she is one of a kind.
I was always into her no doubt stuff, and was a little iffy on her L.A.M.B album. but i went to her concert in fresno, and it was amazing. the feeling i walked away with was incredible, which is something that is hard for me too feel. She gives off this kind of attitude at her concert that just made you feel so good. everything she does is successful and postiive and something that gives girls my age, or anyage really, to look up too.
people who talk bad about gwen stefani, are just stating their opinion. but i dont really think it is necessary. yes, her songs are wierd, but they are feel good and very dancy and neat. she is not trashy and she is an outstanding role model.

I’m not a fan at all. Just what I see on entertainment tv . And from what I can see, if Madonna has done it, she’ll copy it in some form or another. Ive only seen one small segment of one of her videos, and it was very much like Madonna’s “Express Yourself”.(right down to Madonna’s hair) She was in E.T. tonight about her new fragrance, “L”, and there was what looked like Madonna’s “Cherish” video. As I’ve said, I’ve never been a fan. And if you’re going to emulate someone, or try to, I guess Madonna would be the one.
