Yeah, surprisingly, I didn’t hate it either. I had it on repeat in the headphones last Friday for about an hour while I was working and never got tired of it.

I’m seeing them this Friday for the first time. Should be fun seeing Earl Hicks (DBT bassist) again. He made me spaghetti and turned me on to Sonic Youth when we were going to the same college in Alabama.
Paul, did you know that Earl was unceremoniously dropped from the band in favor of Shonna Isbell (Jason’s wife)? Personally, I don’t think she’s half the bassist that Earl was, but she adds some interesting vocal harmomies to the band. Be prepared for three hours of “The Rock Show.”

I decided to host the Jay Z + Weezer remix becuase I thought it was really good. It wasn’t as technically impressive as what Danger Mouse did, but I thought it was pretty original. I have a post on my blog about it.
