Nick Denton says nine in ten US internet users have never visited a blog. That’s where Kinja comes in.

I haven’t even used the site yet, but I gotta admit Nick is a master blog brander.

Andrea and Valanga Kohza will perform the national anthem accompanied by the Oakleigh City Band. This will be followed by the inspirational duo of Kinja, whose music acts as a medium between the reconciliation of indigenous and non-indigenous people.

  1. “Nick Denton says nine in ten US internet users have never visited a blog.”

Nick Denton’s claim is–to use Sir Denton’s native tongue–bollocks. 9 out of 10? I’d say 6 out of 10. Or 3 out of 10. But 9 out of 10? Does Nick know it’s not 1995 and his dot-com dreams will not buy him a ticket to a Super-Bowl commercial?

  2. Hey, I don’t doubt it for a second. I live in a red state, so I know for a fact that at least in this red state, people aren’t particularly bloggy. And I’m in the second biggest city in the state. Trust me, I’m the only person at work who’s a regular blog reader, and I’m the only person I know who has actually has one.

“In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.” That’s me.
