I’m so glad Sufjan Stevens put out Seven Swans and not a tribute to Delaware or some shit. I’m still a bit dubious about the 50 CDs For 50 States gimmick. This song off the new album is quite lovely.

  1. yeah, i like this album more than the last one because every other song doesn’t go on for over 9 mins.

  2. I agree- some states just aren’t worth singing about. I mean, I was born and raised in New Hampshire but I wouldn’t run out and grab an album about it.

    And even John Linnel didn’t include all 50 states on his “state songs” cd, which would’ve been a much easier task.
