Not yet in stores…
Whenever I hear that first riff in “I Love You Golden Blue” I think Thurston’s gonna bust into Billy Joel’s “You May Be Right.” But he doesn’t. Recommended anyway, especially if you liked Murray Street. Related: Thurston & Kim: not Pixies fans.
Filter previewed this album at Urban Outfitters on Sunday. I didn’t hear it, but I did get there in time for Audrey’s DJ set. Dangermouse spun too, but I didn’t stay for that.
Links via Celeste, who gave us the BEST engagement present yesterday: framed B&W photos of me at the mic and Eliza on the drums, taken at Rama’s Bushwick playpen a long time ago. EJ, we need a name for our imaginary band.

Welcome back Scott Stereo! Thanks for stopping by on sunday.
how can one of the best bands of the alt-rock scene have not ever listened to THE BEST band of the alt-rock scene? yet they can guess mariah and the strokes. it’s very disheartening.
is it sour grapes or rock snobiness at it’s worst? they don’t know the pixies (and think they’re too poppy), didn’t know there was a new strokes album, but like missy elliot (who isn’t poppy at all?!) and know about the new outkast album. why don’t they just run up the white flag and admit they have no clue.
Who gives a shit about the Strokes these days anyways?
ever heard of the possibility of sarcasm are just playing with the interview. kim gordon and kim deal are great friends. Gordon even directed the breeders cannonball video along with kim deal being on a sy albumn. pixies and sonic youth are doing lalapolluza. black francis was on tour with them. they are both great, and so great that if they hate each other, who gives a shit. they are musically worlds apart but most people who like one, like the other. get over some fuckin comments from a magazine interview.
Hmmmmm interesting !!!
