The DP remix of “Take Me Out” ranks as one of the biggest musical disappointments of the year for me. The first time I heard it, I didn’t believe it was the real thing because it was such a snoozer, but then I heard it on a UK mix show and sure enough–yawn city.
Maybe it’s better when it’s really loud, though.

Is this remix a joke? Holy shit it’s bad. To play devil’s advocate, maybe it’s an Aphex-style take-the-piss remix. Then again, for a group who make a new album every 4 to 5 years, this is a fucking shame. Frustrating shit.

what you have to undestand is Daft Punk are innovators which means they are trying new and different things most of the time. Has a remix ever been done like that before? certainly not. as long as they take new paths and throw new ideas at us, i have no complaints, just respect their innovative talents.

Wow… it’s true. That’s most likely the WORST professional remix i have heard in my life. Daft Punk? WHAT TEH HELL WERE YOU THINKING. All they did was change a few words around and put static in the background…
Normally I like Daft Punk, but this remix just plain sucks. It could have been way better…especially for one of the best bands of the year.
