Nelly tells Vibe magazine he has no interest in the upcoming presidential election because the candidates are a little too whitebread: “You don’t like nobody that ain’t got a little dirt on ‘em. How can you trust someone who ain’t got a little bit? You ain’t never jaywalked? You can’t relate to somebody that ain’t been in a little trouble. That’s why people loved Clinton. You knew he had some dirt.”

In This Online Word Game, the Winning Spell Is Love
Mr. Monahan, 28, proposed to Ms. Hilbun, 25, last Christmas, creating a faux Words board that spelled out "Britney, will you marry me?" The tiles beneath the board read I-L-U-V-Y-O-U. Flirting on Words With Friends doesn't always spell romance.
Needing Road Win, Lakers (as Expected) Turn to Bryant
But Metta World Peace was not worried about losing. He was trying to guess how much the Lakers would win by. “When you’ve got a guy like Kobe Bryant, you’re always going to give yourself a chance,” Lakers Coach Mike Brown said.

It’s really a shame that he’s probably not kidding. I mean, isn’t half the fun of watching this campaign is all the Bush cocaine jokes? Not to mention all the dirty thoughts that surface whenever John Edwards comes on stage? Or maybe I can only speak for myself?

Anyway, poor Nelly. But maybe ignorance is bling.

  4. Plus, John Kerry’s not whitebread … he’s ORANGE.

  5. This attitude really frustrates me — the belief that Americans want someone they can relate to as president. Frankly, I want someone who’s a lot smarter than me and who doesn’t have dirt. I don’t necessarily need a president I can split a beer with.

I mean, say what you want about Clinton but at least he was a Rhodes scholar, ya know?

  6. Nelly is an ass. He wants the President to be gangsta.

    Hilton Lohan 2004. Just sayin.

robot mark…good rewriting of john stewart, almost word for word. anyways , nelly is wrong. he obviously hasnt relished the tales of bush’s coke-snorting, alcohol guzzling college days.

  9. socalkid  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

Dude, if Nelly knew anything about Bush, he’d be doing everything to get to party with his twin daughters! And if I bet they (the whole family) could even teach him a thing or two!

“bush has so much dirt on him… it’s not even dirt that we can relate to but it’s dirt…”

I dunno, I have plenty of friends who have been nabbed for DUI and have spent significant time in their twenties blowing rails. I can relate to that shit pretty fuckin’ well, actually.

  11. Completely stupid and ignorant…..
I mean, HOW CAN ANYONE HAVE MORE DIRT THAN GEORGE W BUSH?
    Pathetic Nelly.

  12. oh nelly, what a shame. i quite liked you even though your music is crap.

bush not having dirt: draft-dodging, coke-snorting, heavy drinking, english language-mutilating… what more do you need?

  13. bobette  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

first of all, he uses ‘ain’t’ 4 times out of 6 sentences. we all know ain’t ain’t a word, like, duuhh

  14. Kristen  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

silly nelly! of course. politicians are the most upstanding, most trustworthy citizens we know of.

  15. Beth  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

I’d bet that John Kerry smoked quite a bit of weed back in the day… not only was he in Vietnam for a couple of months, but he also protested the war afterwards.

Say what you want about the drug/alcohol use of both Bush and Kerry… what’s important is that it is in the past. Everyone makes mistakes when they are young, it’s called learning. I find that a whole hell of a lot better than the blatent, stupid miscalculations (or abuses of power) that Clinton made in the White House.

  16. Beth  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

Oh yeah… about Clinton being a Rhodes Scholar. I’ve heard rumors that he was studying at Oxford when a spot opened up, so they gave it to him. Not that he wasn’t qualified or anything, I just heard that from one of my professors at Georgetown University. I just think it’s a lot more difficult now to get it than it was in the 1960′s.

Also, I heard he got a “C” in Econ (which made all my friends happy with their grades by default).

  17. planejane  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

    WORD.

  18. oh wow, a “C” in econ? did ken starr know about this?

now let’s all compare high school GPAs and ACT scores!

  19. tess  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

Poor Nelly!!! maybe He should ask the 2 candidates to make a guest appearance in his “tip drill” video. I don’t see how having some dirt on you make you a more human person. That’s the most pathetic comment I’ve ever read. I think it’s more human to be able to keep your pants on and be faithful to the one you love. Maybe he should give up on music and go back to school cuz he seriously lacks common sense when it comes to politics. Ruling a country has nothing to do with getting down and dirty like a horny dog. Bill Clinton may have done nasty things in the oval office, but it certainly has not made him more popular. I mean, the man lied to his country, to his wife, to his daughter….he cheated so many times on Hillary that she should ask for an STD test once a month. Anyway, Nelly’s stupid.

  20. sweetpea  |   Posted on Sep 29th, 2004

dirt and all else aside…what can u expect from a person( nelly )who changes words from “there” to “therr” “dirty” to “derrty” i mean cmon..i saw it coming..lets see how ell his album sales do now..no voting ignorant sonofabitch.

    one word –

    nigs.

  22. jukejoint  |   Posted on Sep 30th, 2004

Good to know racism is alive and well in this, our “undivided” country….from jokes about Nelly’s use of language (If you’ve ever used a colloquialism yr argument is automatically negated), to outright slurs. Good job, everybody. That’s telling him. I’m sure he’ll change his mind now. Not voting (and I am voting…just not for Tweedle Corporate and Tweedle Corporate-er) is a form of voting. It’s called “no confidence”, a clause which should be introduced on the ballot. But,of course, we here in ‘merica can only think in (excuse the pun) black and white, ones and twos. At the end of the day Nelly’s a musician, not a politician. The world probably will not come to a screeching halt if he decides not to vote. Racism, on the other hand, might just do the trick. (why can’t those silly black folk think like us? Christ…)

  23. callinoutmatthale  |   Posted on Sep 30th, 2004

Ahhhh matthale, now when you say nigs please explain thati’m going to give you a chance before i start to call you probably really dumb ass out.

Britney Spears says she is ready to “reveal the truth” about her life, but not via People or Us Weekly. The “truth” will be available on her personal Web site, which costs $24.98 to join.

Matt hale you are a bitch, sorry i have beensick all day and did not get to post again. Again, you are a bitch.

  27. calliwell  |   Posted on Oct 1st, 2004

As a black woman, I would like to say that I laugh at your ignorance and that I hope you die a painful death that involves painful bowel movements.

Good one Matt Hale, the attention seeking, cheap shock attempt moron.

  28. Personally, I don’t really care if Nelly knows anything about politics or not. I’m more worried about that zit on his face, he’s had that band-aid on a long time now.

  29. FoShame  |   Posted on Oct 4th, 2004

Nelly needs to learn proper English and THEN move onto discussing his views on politics.

Perhaps him and Dub-YUH can take a class together…
