Matty Fluxblog’s got a new Mercury Rev track.

Save the date for our MP3DJ Battle To The Death.

Here’s some new Bright Eyes for ya. The kids love ‘em.

Also read Jen’s Gothamist interview with Win from Arcade Fire. And thanks Jen and Catherine for getting me a ticket to tomorrow’s sold-out show. I love this band. Check last week’s NME (Scissor Sisters cover) to see photos I took of Arcade Fire during CMJ.

Running Doc: How to deal with heel pain
I'm 45 and have been running for 20 years. Two months ago I woke up with aching foot pain and could hardly walk. The pain is at the back of my arch and in the heel. I went to my family doctor who told me I have plantar fasciitis. I wear ach ...
From the Journal of Erasmus - 001
I woke up this morning with the usual pounding in my head exacerbated by the nauseating motion of a carriage bumping along some cobbled path. The brightness, daylight I presumed, was deafening. I reached for my satchel for a quick swig of brandy only to ...

  1. is it strange that i just bought tickets to the arcade fire’s show here (here=milwaukee) on the 24th and they were only #11 and #12, respectively? would they be sold out by now if i live where you live? is my town inexorably lame?
    (regardless, i can’t fucking wait.)

  2. The NYC show sold out a month ago.

Yeah, I grabbed tickets to the LA show at Spaceland and I can’t wait. They were fairly cheap too. $1.50 beers and Arcade Fire, you can’t go wrong. I’m wondering if they can pull off the sound of the record live. I hear they have all 15 members on stage at once though, so those big group choruses should be pretty cool.

Does anyone know if they are going to release more tickets to the show?

  5. That Bright Eyes track is a cover of the Bruces’ song, although I’m not certain it can technically be called a ‘cover’ if the original artist hasn’t recorded it yet. That doesn’t make any sense, actually. I’m not sure why the press release calls that song a cover.

  6. I thought I got over Bright Eyes 2 winters when it was all I listened to during the blizzard, but this brings me back. Conor, stop doing this to me.

the bright eyes track is weird city. i liked ‘lifted…’ but generally i find conor oberst too corny for his own good.

too bad you’re going to the arcade fire show tonight. i’ll be partying it up at the secret machines/on!air!library!/interpol show. whoo.

If this is a Bruce Springstein cover, I’d like to see Conor dancing on stage with Cortney Cox in a video. Thank you
