I’ve had both downloaded for a month and a half now. They’re good, I slightly prefer Digital Ash. I got legit copies today because I have a music store hookup. The artwork is sweet.
I couldn’t read through the whole piece, because I’m sick of music critics overanalyzing oberst’s lyrics. But i will say that that last line was pretty genius. so random…

“land locked blues” is the same bright eyes song as on this saddle creek sampler i got last year called “one foot in front of the other” …just not a duet
Well i’ve never been a big bright eyes fan, something about them just doesn’t settle with me, but i’m suprised at how much responce they have received and may give these albums a try

Yea well said, I totally agree. But then he’s an exceptional poet/singer/performer and people are realising that. He’s got so far completly on his own- hats off to him, there’s been little money behind the label. Shows that it can be done really.
