live 8 is bullshit. during the concert, i’d like to see superimposed over the performances what percentage of their monetary worth these huge stars (bono, paul mccartney, etc.) actually give to charity. i’m sure for a lot of them, it’s laughable.
same goes for that “make poverty history” campaign that has celebrities talking about it.
if bono and brad pitt got together and pooled maybe 3% of their money, that alone could make more of a difference than all of us “regular people” put together.
