Thanks Chris for the links.

if you will. So put down your bow and arrow, grab your earbuds and settle in with these hand-picked selections: "The Decemberists are often described as 'indie-folk' or 'chamber pop,' but they are constantly shifting into new genres and playing with foreign sounds.

My tix say 5:30 doors, so I figured 6:15-6:30 start for stars. Just an educated guess on my part.

I called Summerstage this morning to figure out when each band goes on. They wouldn’t say, but did say the show starts at 7 and it must end by 10 (curfew). If you know how long DCFC usually plays, you can sort of work back from there.

  4. Gibbard covered “Sick of Myself”?!?!? Oh man. I gotta find that.

  5. I’ve never heard that version of Goodbye Girl before, but that sounds more like Tarkio than the Decemberists.

  6. well it’ll prob air on Left of Center on s irius at some point. not sure when their performance is airing. but i’m sure after that someone’ll mp3 it or something. seriously, he was like ‘i wanna do Sick of Myself’ can someone google the lyrics for me, kthx’ it was funny

  7. > that sounds more like Tarkio than the
    > Decemberists.

    I think you’re right. Oops.

  8. Tarkio’s still a Colin Meloy band, so I think it still sorta counts.

Curses. I saw the link for “Goodbye Girl” at work and couldn’t download it there… now it’gone. I don’t care if it’s not a Decemberists song I want it anyway :(

  11. Well, here’s a link to an mp3 of the greatest version of Goodbye Girl you will EVER hear. From a rare Squeeze EP, a rocked up/boogie woogie take with Jools Holland tearin it UP. My fave Squeeze recording PERIOD.
