Grammys 2012: Foo Fighters, Coldplay keep things predictable Jack Black introduced Foo Fighters, talking up the band's cred, but apparently Black was in comedian mode tonight, as the CBS show "The Mentalist" could devote an entire season to looking for Foo Fighters' street cred and never find it.
New Video: Coldplay, 'Charlie Brown' When we think Coldplay videos, we think melodramatic slow-motion visuals (see: "Fix You") that ache with so much emotion you want to rethink every decision you've ever made in your life. But their latest, "Charlie Brown," ditches sad ...
i do like coldplay but…. it amazes me how reviews about new bands seem to reference coldplay like coldplay has pioneered some new sound and have been around since the beginning… and then you read a coldplay review and it references Radiohead and U2 and then……. and yet i am a radiohead so agree with wes about coldplay being radiohead lite with a little bono thrown in for dramatic effect…..
don’t know about the wannabe thing but know he is an arrogant prick at best….. but still like the music….. bono is a friggin politician but i won’t give up u2 either…… and do like coldplay even if they are copying both….
I first heard this single on the Steve Wright Show two days ago and it blew me away. If ever Chris Martin needed a reality check, it’s this song because it sounds SO good and stands one it’s own merits. Chris shouldn’t make a big deal over the fact he can’t sing because that gives hope to the rest of us and for that fact alone, Coldplay should be honoured for they are surely the music of the common man.
They all sound fucking dreary if you ask me no better or different to travis. What was the fucking 60′s for I don’t think cold play or travis was envisioned. And as for that franz ferdinand they can all burn in hell as i can’t express my hatred for them any clearer.
I really am a fan of Coldplay, but I totally agree with this song.; the way things are going, it is really too much. It was ok when it was just Coldplay the Fray and the Killers, that sounded this way; but now EVERYBODY seems to be in on it. It is like people are not even trying to sound original anymore.
It is annoying. People complain that Coldplay often copyright’s other stuff… but that is nothing compared to this blatant over-use of the Coldplay style.
Heck, it seems Lady Gaga is the only person left that makes songs with a beat faster than “the scientist”
weak.
and coldplay kinda sounds like Bends-ish Radiohead lite
The video is quite much better than the song

Thom Yorke is nothing but a Chris Martin wannabe.

I thought that was pretty funny, but then, I’m a 17th-century French executioner.

woehoe I love the song because, coldplay’s just irritating. how good they think they are. and the rest of those bands too ^^
