BBC reports:

Speculation is reaching fever pitch about what Apple will announce in its 7 September press conference. Most pundits and analysts are expecting Apple to unveil a mobile phone that works with its iTunes music download service. But other possible candidates include a high-capacity iPod that stores songs in memory chips rather than a hard drive or an iPod that can play video.

I’m hoping it’s an iTunes-equipped Segway. Early buzz, however, suggests it’ll be the Motorola iTunes phone — and it may hit stores this week. No word on how many months before its battery dies.

Seriously, that is a good point about the battery on those phones….. problems now with a regular cell phone battery and can’t imagine it running too long with having iTunes on it. have to charge my old ipod constantly as it is and that has a pretty high capacity battery..
interesting to also see that Nokia (supposed #1 cell phone guy) did not strike deal with iTunes……i am sure moto will see some good response to it and start to put them ahead..

  4. If you are a geek like me and you read Robert X. Cringely, then you know that his opinion is an iFilm movie download service is coming. How great would it be to be able to just download movies when you want to watch them.

    It would make Netflix obsolete.

will have to check out that ROKR phone…used to work for Nokia before the bastards laid me off but still like to keep up with the technology…
will say moto did an awesome job on the Razr phone design…pretty bad ass looking phone but no sure how it works….

  8. apple is spreading themselves thin with ipods and their whole piggy back technology. like all other empires, they too will succumb to defeat.
