Our favorite child actor turned rocker delivers Rabbit Fur Coat in January on Team Love Records (an offshoot of Saddle Creek). The Rilo Kiley/Postal Service siren tells MTV News:
I’m going to [credit it to] Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins. We’re friends with these twins from Louisville, Kentucky, and they sang with me on a lot of songs ? a bunch of harmonizing, a bunch of classic-sounding songs.
Indie Rock All-Stars M. Ward, Conor Oberst, and Ben Gibbard all collaborate on the record.
It’s a giant melting pot of the people that I’ve met over the last couple years. I think the production is a lot more pointedly stripped-down [than Rilo Kiley]. I kind of wanted to let the songs just exist and let the voices tell the story, rather than the guitar and production. I kind of wanted the songs to just kind of float around.

On the Rilo Kiley Live at Fingerprints cd, there is a track (Somebody Else’s Clothes) that I guess is a solo Jenny song that she played while Blake was getting coffee or something. It’s a nice song.
I had no idea this was the same Jenny Lewis! I had a huge crush on her back in the day when she was in Troop Beverly Hills. Very reminiscent of Kerry Green (Lucas, Three For The Road, Goonies).
