Book your tickets for London in 2007: the Gorillaz (previously in Stereogum) are going to be taking the stage as holographs, according to NME. Why the long delay? Because the technology doesn’t exactly exist yet.
If the Gorillaz blogged a mashup of their tour in wi-fi, you wouldn’t hear it, because Wired would be exploding too loud.

I kinda like that no one gives two shits about the 3D Gorillaz enough to even make a comment about them. I guess I just defeated that point though.

Didn’t this new originate from NME? Doesn’t that immediately make it questionable? How is it that the Gorillaz have access to actual 3D Hologram technology when most Holograms are just created within a 2D plane (even if viewable from 360 degrees).
I can’t remember where I saw it, but I *did* read something about a lot of 3d stuff a this year’s SIGGRAPH.
yeah, it’s got to be 2D but will look like 3D especially after smoking a couple of joints…..
