I had heard a rumor that Ashlee Simpsuck was gonna be host and musical guest and it made my inner child cry.
Steve Carell is really funny. I heard that CYHSY were offered the music slot but turned it down.
Yeah. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that you heard wrong about that Josh. SNL ain’t going to bring in the ratings by featuring a band that the vast majority of their viewing audience has never heard of. And I suspect the phrase “But… the music bloggers really like them!” wouldn’t have had much influence on the producers, either.
Yea, nothing could possibly go wrong with putting Kanye West on live TV… The words “Sinead O’Connor” come to mind for some reason.

That’s true, I also heard CYHSY turned down an offer to serve as the German Chancellor. Honestly I think they would get some good exposure by taking the position, but you’ve got to respect them for keeping their promise not to serve as head of government for a Northern European state.
