I normally wouldn’t listen to Phish but if Jen were to jump into my car and pop it in the tape player, I’d suffer it just because she wanted it that way.
She’s adorable, mr. unimpressed. And, she has quite a few of New York’s male (and some of its female) population under her spell.
I’m blissfully ignorant when it comes to the O.C. I watched maybe 5 minutes of it total before I started getting beverly hills 90210 flashbacks and I had to change the channel. Can someone in the know please explain this O.C. phenomenon to me so I won’t have to expose myself to it directly.
it’s a dumb soap opera which has indie rock for a soundtrack. Big phenom. I’ve seen an episode and a half or so. It’s like Melrose Place, only with snarky jokes, and less entertaining.
Irrespective of the possible merits/demerits of her musical taste, you can add the fact that she is a real person who doesn’t really care what “liking Phish” “says” about her to people like yourself. Which in this city, is pretty fucking refreshing.
Oh, and she’s easily the nicest person I’ve met since moving here.
Real + nice can often = an interesting take on the world…interesting, if not absolutely foreign to those that do not value such qualities.
