Stereogum reader Amrit caught Sufjan Stevens’ performance at Lincoln Center last night and even nabbed a few pics before pissing off security.

But how was the newly disinterested, costume-less Sufjan in concert? “Unforgettable,” says Amrit. Read his review at Village Indian.

  1. Just wanted to say, for the record, my camera was silent and flashless-no artist annoying here!

I went to the 10:30pm one… amazing… best version of a Good Man Is Hard To Find.

Here’s the pic the girl I went with took…. it shows the majesticness of the night…

and the setlist handed out at the end of the night:

It was so much cooler than the bowery show but in a totally different way… the strings added so much.

    SO tired of sufjan. GOD.

why not test out new jams by artists who aren’t taking naps on the collective ballsac of pitchfork? Portugal, the Man’s new stuff is pretty amazing. Kano’s been out of the spotlight for a while. You guys have been hyping Test Icicles, thank heavens. But let’s diversify, yo.

  4. i have a review up too!

This was an FANTASTIC show. The strings filled out the sound, finally doing justice to some of his “bigger” songs, like “Predatory Wasp…”

The new arrangements were great and everything sounded soooooo beautiful.

So much better than the Bowery show.

I can’t imagine Sufjan has ever put on a better-sounding show. Yeah, this was the best.

nice review sounds amazing! i know everyone is sick of him and all but he put out an incredible album so there’s reason to talk-he’s worthy!

  7. Hey, I didn’t get a setlist! Although I did get a program with artist bios, which was kind of surreal. The whole night was way above my class level.

  8. Do you think Sufjan will ever post for Playgirl? Just a suggestion.

fuck you JACK.. find a nice hobby so you dont have to waiste your time being jealous of the more fortunate. Manage your wonderful feelings in a journal and read them to yourself outloud some time. Your own words just might inspire you, and maybe even someone else one day if you work on them.

(your opinion will not change any others.)

    hello Sufjan <3<#</3 goodbye robert.
