News from Stereogum’s favorite armchair electronica artists:

Extending from the last year’s Campfire Headphase album, the Trans Canada Highway EP which features 5 new tracks including a great remix from Cloudead’s Odd Nosdam plays out a hallucinogenic road trip of desolation, isolation and exploration.

With the Boards of Canada traits of intricacy and ethereality, Trans Canada Highway visits a darker place, “a glacial place” as Boards of Canada put it, away from the warmth and light of The Campfire Headphase.

EP is out 6/6/06 and comes with a DVD of “Dayvan Cowboy” the mysterious Scottish siblings‘ first music video.

Visit the electro-glacial super-Highway by loading warprecords.com and letting the stream of “Skyline” take you away.

you know, i’ve always tried to figure out what synths (and whether they were hard are soft) they used on tracks like bocuma or kaini industries off of ‘music has the right to children’.
