I’ll be there. Austin owes me after it made a fool of me in March.
I think they forgot a reunited Beatles with Abe Lincoln on synth. Christ, the lower half of this lineup would sell out in a minute.
je-sus
Oh my.
Yeah. We’re there. Will get to see quite a few bands for the first time: Wolf Parade, the Shins, Okkervil, etc.
I had such an awesome time last year. This is really tempting me to try a repeat.
It’s so far away from Newfoundland, but man, where else am I gonna find John Mayer (my girlfriend’s favourite) with my favourites like New Pornographers, Wolf Parade and Explosions in the Sky?
I totally wanna win the lottery so that I could afford to go.
This will be my second time going. Can’t wait.
Chuck, it is a long trip, but totally worth it. I don’t know if I’ll be back this year, but I’m damn well going to try!
BoDeans?! Hells yeah.
string cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!
GGUUSSTTEERR.
wolf parade sold me….

I’m thinking about skipping my h.s. reunion (same weekend) for this after seeing the lineup. Wow!
Dayum, that’s a lineup.
Josh,
What about Mahatma Ghandi on the sitar?
Plans for tonight: Read list again; die of raw envy. I will NOT be going for so many reasons, but congrats to those who do as it looks like an awesome gig.
was’nt it at that last year or something when cat power sang war pigs with the flaming lips?
I will see all of you guys on the sand dunes of what is know as Zilker Park.
No,
i only enjoy listening to about 3 of all those bands. plus, indie rock fans dress dumb.
NO WAY!!
Got my ticket from FedEx today! 35 bucks, baby! Click on my name to view.
Ho-lee shit. This is only like a few hours away from me but I don’t think I can skip school for a concert for three days. Plus driving time. Goddamn it.
Though I like several of acts, this is the weakest lineup this fest has had, and that includes year 1 when it was only a 2 day festival.
And i live in Australia WHY???????
I agree with bill, about this being the weekest line up. last year was great. this makes me sad i got tickets.
it isn’t the greatest line up ever. but it’s still sweet.
willie, raconteurs and galactic in three days?!?! can’t say no.
the train to skankville holds forth!
ites!!
so no one is excited about the second reunion this year of one of the most influential bands in music?
massive attack never gets any love. except from the people who went to coachella.
if you’re interested, I will be doing a daily breakdown of the acl fest schedule, artist by artist. here: http://covertcuriosity.blogspot.com/
cheers.
genghis tron (who had a few pretty big shows during sxsw) will be playing tomorrow at snake eyes vinyl in austin. with local favorites daniel francis doyle and skullening. 6pm!
