Streets protégé Example delivers a response single to Lily Allen’s charttopping “Smile.” In assuming the persona of Lil’s ex-boyfriend, he raps: “At first you made me smile/It was nice for a while/But then you turned vile.” Libertine loathing Lily responds on her website: “To all who were wondering, he was never my boyfriend. I do think his version is very funny though. And I think the sock video is pretty good too.” Here’s Example’s “Vile” clip:

  7. it sounds like he is singing “na na na-na…you’re a douche” near the end, which is hilarious but probably not true. The socks are cute, I like it.

    They’re singing Vindaloo — it’s an English football song by (amongst other people) Lily’s dad.

    • in the first sections its “la la la…your a loon” in the second at the end its “la la la..vindaloo”
