Crazy Canucks and their incestuous indie rock! Spencer Krug and Dan Bejar — no strangers to collaboration — team up with Frog Eyes’ Carey Mercer for the latest and greatest in Canadian supergroups.

With Krug’s characteristic croon, the spacey guitar trills, and those distant drums, we’re not hearing much to distinguish this from Sunset Rubdown sessions. (That ain’t a bad thing.) What would really make this record great is Krug, Mercer and Dan the Destroyer delivering an affected-acapella rendition of just about anything. ‘Cause they sing funny!

Beast Moans is out 11/21.

second – scott you should pay attention to this.

the hot thing to do right now in the old comments section is to write ‘first’ ‘second’ and ‘third’ before the real comments are allowed to begin.

    Adorable. I absolutely admire Krug.

  4. I’m the opposite of Fido, I find Krug to be a one trick pony. All sounds the same to me and it doesn’t sound good
