Here’s our final installment of black-and-whites from T&G’s Anniversary celebration. Sounds like those in attendance had a great time and, though it sucked we couldn’t make it, we’re already planning to be in Chicago for Touch And Go’s 50th! We bet Albini won’t even shave one BPM off that drum machine during “Racer X” in 2031.

I guess the audience had a good time, but it was so cold. And wet. Mostly cold.

I always dream that when Pinback and The Blackheart Procession play together, that they will all get together and play a Three Mile Pilot song. Just one.

I just got to work after taking a rest day in Chicago before coming home (to Philadelphia). Every performance was great. Even for the bands that couldn’t keep up (read: singers) with their old songs, there was something special about their performances (read: Pegboy, monorchid). I brought a friend (fella I stayed with)who had no knowledge of any of these bands / label and he had a total blast.

my highlights: ted leo _never_ disappoints, MOAM were fantastic (as good as I’ve ever seen them), Scratch Acid was a total and complete force of nature, Seam sounded fantastic, Tara Jane O’Neal had everyone in silence (played two new beautiful songs from new album(?)), The New Year were terrific, GVSB!!!!!!!!!, ENON, CocoRosie were both super, seeing Three Mile Pilot play was something I thought I’d never experience, Shellac were fantastic and I think about 4,000 people saw Big Black – and I can’t remember a thing…except fireworks.

  5. no pics of the new year? this site is for johnny come lately chumps. they played north six a few weeks ago and it wasn’t even sold out.

    Werts- Monorchid kinda sucked.

Nikole- Three Mile Pilot did a full set. They were completely totally awesome. They also confirmed they are working on a new record that Touch and Go is putting out.
