Busy as a contributor to Olivia Tremor Control and co-founder of Bablicon (also featuring Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeremy Barnes), Dave McDonnell has finally taken some “me time” and recorded his solo debut Imaginary Volcano. It’s colorful yet subtle, and entirely groovy.

If you’re in Chicago, catch ‘em tonight at Beat Kitchen (w/ Supersystem).

Enjoy.
