We know this is last minute, but that’s how everything is during CMJ. One of the best lineups of the marathon has been largely unpublicized, but we wanna fill you in: At Northsix in Williamsburg (L train to Bedford) on Saturday from 12-6PM, AAM is hosting an invite-only shindig with, among others, Erase Errata, Snowden, Portastatic, The Album Leaf, and the fucking awesomeness that is Malajube (they burned at Merc last night — post TK). Honestly, there’s no better place to be this Saturday afternoon.

Yeah, invite-only sucks, but here’s a chance to win yourself some access; we’ve got five pairs of list spots to give away! To enter the sweepstakes, post a comment telling us about the band you’re most psyched to see and, as always, we’ll pick the winner at random at Friday 6PM EST (that’s tonight) and letcha know later today. Make sure to check your email before going to bed!

There’ll be plenty of chances to win some schwag while there, too — like Crumpler messenger bags, Kidrobot toys, DVDs, the Modest Mouse biography, and two exclusive bags designed by Jimmy LaValle (The Album Leaf) and Portastatic. They’ll also be feeding you all the cups of booze your battered livers can handle. And fear not for empty stomachs, ’cause there’ll be Sparky’s hot dogs (veggie, too!), courtesy of Stereogum. (Who loves ya?) Dogs, booze, tunes — we’re talking food for the soul. Hope to see ya there!

  16. Incidentally — if you try to comment and get an error that says it’s not being published because we’re blocking spam it’s because our spam filter has been nutso for the past week. Amrit and I have been spending a few hours every day manually going through the thousands of daily blocked comments and unblocking the legit ones. SO if you get that error message, don’t worry … we will make sure to publish all the comments from people who want to enter this contest (and every other post where comments are getting blocked). Need an intern up in this shit! ;)

And my other favs, The Album Leaf, as luck would have it – they were on teh bill with The Shins last nite (GOOD 4 THEM!!!) and of course, it was also sold out!
