The UK media is getting lathered up about the possibility of a Blur reunion, but from what we’ve heard of Graham Coxon’s new record, he doesn’t need to be in a rush to give up his present gig. For the long-overdue States side release of his sixth solo effort, Graham’s held down all guitars, bass, drums, and vocals (which sound great), and enlisted the services of Parklife producer Stephen Street. Here’s the lead single in all it’s upbeat, Buzzcock-y post-punk glory.

  1. Standing on My Own Again is a song from Graham Coxon’s sixth studio album, Love Travels at Illegal Speeds. It was released 27 February 2006 as the lead single from that album, charting at #20 in the UK Singles Chart. (thanks to wikipedia for those lines)… so, that song cannot be called ‘new’ Graham Coxon… has been almost a year since it came out… greetings from the galaxie…

  4. It’s about frickin’ time this came out over here!

It is a great album. While I’d love to see Blur back together, as long as he keeps churning out stuff like the last two discs, I’m happy.

Wow, its not out in the US yet? He’s already releasing a new (as in new new) single ‘Bloody Annoying’ sometime soon here. Then again, Decemberists’ Crane Wife isn’t out here ’til January, so go figure. Stupid labels.

  7. Can someone get the title right please? It’s Standing On My Own AGAIN!!!
