Kyp, Tunde, and Dave Sitek dropped by America Online to play chilled-out, sans-drums versions of “Wash The Day,” “Young Liars,” and “Province.” Even without their kick-ass rhythm section, the band works some magic (particularly on the gorgeous “Province”).

The interview that follows is sorta tough to sit through, but the on-air talent does extract gems like other album titles TVOTR considered (Karmageddon and The Thickening) and Sitek’s elaboration on the meaning of Return To Cookie Mountain (“It’s kind of a choose your own adventure”). Gracias, Dave. Listen to the podcast here.

I’d kill for rips of the songs. Young Liars has always been one of my favorite tracks and this version blew me away.
