Of all the beefs we’ve seen, this has gotta be the beefiest. In a sense. The reviews for The Tenacious D And The Pick Of Destiny are scattered, but Kyle Gass’s take on Meat Loaf is focused and direct (via):

The man’s an ass. Meat Loaf knew he had us over a barrel because we’d told everyone he was in the movie before he signed. He wanted, I believe, a million dollars. We were like, “Meat, you can’t have a million. I guess we’re going to have to go somewhere else.” We called his bluff, he came back with his tail between his legs, and the result is cinematic history.

Seeing as the film’s only drawn $5M by Rotten Tomatoes count, you could see how Meat’s heavy dough request would’ve been an issue. Yet their “Kickapoo” chemistry seems well enough. Loaf’s probably just acting up ’cause he’s still bummed about ScarJo’s “thanks but no.”
