DJs don’t pick these tunes. Some asshole at ViacomClearChannelInfinity picks it from a computer program. Then the asshole goes and licks the butt of the music industry some more. Repeat as necessary.

This site is fake. A few minutes spent listening to your local radio stations and watching your city will prove it, or just watch the site for a few minutes and see the songs loop. “Get Out of Denver” came up 3 times in 4 minutes in SF. Radio has problems, sure, but this site is just silly.
Well shut my mouth — I take that back, we played Fool’s Gold and it actually came up after a minute. Huh. It looks like it keeps popping up the title while the song is playing so if you see a title multiple times it doesn’t mean it’s being played again.
Party Ben, If you click on the dot for a given city, it lists out a bunch of stations that probably contribute to what flies out at you. Plus, is it unreasonable to assume that the huge radio conglomerates use similar playlists for multiple stations across the country? I mean, if they play Toto’s “Africa” in NYC one minute, why can’t or shouldn’t they play it in, say, Louisville, KY at the same time? Who’s gonna know? Also, Ryan, I’m Raleigh, and I just looked at WKNC’s playlist, and “Wrapped Up in Books” got played a few minutes before your post. I don’t know guys, looks legit to me.
I saw some Christian [not ChristMAS, mind you] song play at five stations at the same time.

my question is how does it work? it’s impossible that they have operatives in every city somehow listening to multiple stations and typing in titles and it’s doubtful they have some direct input from the stations, so what gives?
