  5. TheSkiddle  |   Posted on Jan 2nd, 2007

Why is Oasis on this list? Oh well at lest they didn’t put up Coldplay. Or Madonna….
The Cure should have ranked higher.
What Oasis is to The Beatles, is what Coldplay is to U2.

  6. There is a serious lack of Blur going on here.

  13. helen  |   Posted on Jan 2nd, 2007

My above comment should read, “My fried egg makes me sick first thing in the morning.” So much for commenting in a sleep-deprived state.

  14. Ryan  |   Posted on Jan 2nd, 2007

The Clash, I mean, how the fuck could you forget The Clash. Same goes for The Who and Radiohead.

  15. Gwen  |   Posted on Jan 2nd, 2007

Take That is a horrible boyband that spawned Robbie Williams and they don’t even deserve to touch this list with a bloody stick.

  16. michael t.  |   Posted on Jan 2nd, 2007

the beatles were a great band but they wernt the best band ever as these people think,i am glad to see the british public have voted the best band to win in QUEEN as there lyrics, songs, live performances showmanship and pure entertainment was better than the beatles and better than any other band,i think the beatles were voted better a few years back when the american public didnt really get them- but they do now! and have helped them to be the best band in the world and most definatly the uk.

  28. Matt Gill  |   Posted on Mar 24th, 2007

    beatles should have won offcourse

The fact that the Beatles didn’t tour for most of their career doesn’t make them any less of a band in my eyes. They lead a generation and created more masterpeices than any band could ever dream of. Ironically, Queen is my second favourite band after the Beatles..and although I agree that Queen was incredibly entertaining as far as live performance goes..the pure magic of the Beatles is unbeatable.

  32. Leslie  |   Posted on Mar 18th, 2008

Queen are the best band, dont even argue with that.

  33. dylan  |   Posted on Apr 24th, 2008

Where are The Clash and The Who????????????

  34. fred  |   Posted on Jul 11th, 2008

This result must have been arranged for political correctness.

Do not forget that the Beatles disturbed/scared the establishment like no-one will ever do.

After 45 years, John and the golden Beatles remain unbeatable.

How did the Beatles scare the Establishment? How did pop music change anything? It is now harder to improve yourself than it was in the fucking Fifties! So much for the Beatles ‘changing everything’.

  35. beat  |   Posted on May 5th, 2009

    of course I Beatles
many may know that the Beatles actually leads
    maghanap

Terrible list. only the Beatles and Queen and maybe the Rolling Stones belong. There is no way in hell that Oasis is better than Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath, or Pink Floyd. For that matter Radiohead and Muse would beat out Oasis for the best modern british band.and who the hell are Take That?
