I still can’t help but like the guy, even if he’s finally embraced every one of his fifty-something years and is completely out of touch and uncool now.

  3. Definitive proof that Oysterhead was, in fact, the perfect storm of self-satisfaction.

  4. i’ve always liked stewart copeland, but was i the only one who wanted to straighten his glasses the entire time he was talking?

Good post. I hope ‘those other two guys’ are half as cool as Stewart seems, these days.

  6. Nice to hear some Klark Kent music being used in that piece. “Don’t Care” is best thing any member of the Police has ever done.

  9. You know, I always thought that Oysterhead was the perfect storm of self-satisfaction, but now I have: Definitive. Proof.

Lord almighty, what a mess of metaphors.

From your description, I was expecting a pretentious jerk, but that wasn’t the case at all. I knew I liked Stewart for a good reason.

He’s not only one of the best skilled rock drummers around, but one who moves on. Which is good. How many of us still think about our first girl (or boy-) friend. Even if the relationship was good & new & interesting, but it is over now. Nice post.

Sorry all, I may be a reak but I still can’t decide which is stronger, my lust for his music or for him!! Possibly Stewart and I are the only ones who think he is hotter than Sting!

Whether he knew what he was even doing or not, you should hear what he did with the Police catalog for that recent “Everyone Stares” film/DVD: Totally remixed (and even re-recorded) a bunch of their classic songs–and they sound fucking ACE! Like dub-y, step-y and even jungle/drum&bass versions. Superb.

No..you are not the only one who thinks that Stewart is Hot. He may be 50 something but he is VERY hot. Smart, artistic guys, who have some maturity, are very hot..in my opinion.

I have had a serious crush on Stewart since he was in the Police. What an interesting man. I would love to just sit and listen to him for hours and hours. Sigh. And I am a married mother of a 13 year old daughter. I can dream can’t I.
