Are we gonna read into The Apples In Stereo’s decision to follow New Magnetic Wonder‘s first, Elijah-directed (and anticlimactic) clip with a one-take, DIY, handy-cam backseat singalong video? No we’d never do that. The Apples filmed it while driving through the streets of Park City (in town for Sundance Film Festival). It’s the logical progression of things: first television, now indie film. What’s next Robert? Contacts? If you need more, head here for video of The Apples and West Indian Girl performing at Film.com’s Sundance Launch Party.

I was out at sundance and didn’t go to the film.com party but I did check out West Indian Girl for free on the big stage they set up on main street in Park City. Great show. I took some pictures that you can see at http://azrike.smugmug.com/gallery/2396685#125589920

That chick looks freaked out when they start doing the hand motions.
Seeing West Indian Girl outside in the cold is too bad… indoors you could’ve seen singer Mariqueen Maandig in a tiny tiny gold dress:
Their treadmills are in the trunk, right?
I love the whole spontaneity of this video (even though they don’t even look like they’re enjoying it), but I just hate these sorts of music videos.
YEAH WE GET IT UR INDIE
