So much for the Colbert-irking green screen contest? Maybe so, maybe not, but for now The Decemberists secured director Aaron Stewart (of “16 Military Wives” and The Album Leaf’s “Always For You”) for a proper “O Valencia!” vid. Stewart got Colin to set aside the specs and play out the Voice’s deepest fantasy, having a motley crew of Wes Anderson-styled hooligans kick the ever-loving shit out of Meloy. And of course, there’s a chimney reference. Watch it at iFilm (via Chromewaves).

    First the constant Police updates, and now this. Stereogum has my guilty pleasures down. Never understood why these guys didn’t make it in the states. Had to buy their last 4 albums at import prices. Always fun to see in concert too. May the next Biscuit Boy album be as good as the last…
