Stereogum’s heroes take the minimalist route on the video for the first single from Pocket Symphony, playing through “Once Upon A Time”‘s sparse and spacey textures in a black room and with a shamisen playing geisha. The music is ripe for pillaging by indie film directors, and Godin and Dunckel handle the spinning stage beneath them with a look of sublimely disaffected cool. As always.

Pocket Symphony is out 3/6 on Astralwerks.
