One of the toppers on our list of UK artists most underappreciated States side is the hirsute clan of The Magic Numbers, who also put on one of the best sets of last year’s SXSW. The next single from the band’s second LP Those The Brokes is the candy-eyed pop of “This Is A Song,” of which you can enjoy a live vid from last year’s Eden Sessions gig (Real | Win Meda). We’d post a pic from the performance, but the single’s cover is too cute.

You can’t talk about the “most underappreciated British artists” without getting someone fired up, so let’s hear ‘em.

What happened to the American release of “Those the Brokes”? I thought it was coming out this week, now I can’t find any word of it anywhere.

  2. I saw The Magic Numbers in Montreal last year at the Osheaga Fest:

They were still working out the new songs and they sounded great. They aren’t doing anything ground-breaking but they sure can write some catchy tunes. I’m looking forward to seeing them live again.
