Those of you making your way down to SXSW this year probably already have fairly full day and night dance cards, but consider this your formal invite to join us as we welcome back the Meat Puppets! This year we wanted to keep our Austin event simple and awesome. We thought about throwing a two-day, thirty-band barn burner, but with so many great shows around every corner, we didn’t think we had the discipline to stay in the same venue for more than a few hours. So we’re bringing you one evening of great music in an amazing space and then we’ll get outta the way. And whether it’s in Austin or at CMJ, we’ve always had a kick ass time at the FADER digs, so partnering with them was a no brainer. It’s 21+, on account of the free booze.
This will be Meat Puppets’ FIRST proper show with their new lineup of Curt and Cris Kirkwood with Ted Marcus on drums, which is reason enough to come by. But we’re balancing the bill with some fast-rising Scandinavian talent, the electro pop goodness of Lo-Fi-Fnk and the blistering Norwegian New Wavers New Violators. (Trust, you wanna see them live.) And while you get your booze-and-schmooze on between sets, you’ll be left in the able care of YACHT on the decks.

FADER house has moved this year, it’s on 4th St btw Brazos and San Jacinto. Bigger and better is the word.
Oh, look out, everybody! The Indie Cred Police are out giving out scene point demerits! Gimme a freaking break. Who’s supposed to pay for the bands and drinks and venue so you can hang out for FREE? Hmmm… maybe next year they’ll have the party in your rumpus room and everyone can drink out of the hose off the back porch.
