Following a superb set from Toronto pop-noir instrumentalists Hylozoists, the orchestral vibe grew more intimate with the arrival of Austin’s Tosca String Quarter, on hand to support Kurt Wagner’s gravel-voiced blues. The corner of sixth and I-35 may not have been the ideal venue for stripped-down Lambchop, but a few hundred believers made the trek for Kurt’s captivating performance.
