A few weeks after releasing a much-delayed video, Soubrette Swedish pop singer Robyn finally is releasing “Konichiwa Bitches” as a proper single — with some remixes for kicks. This is good news, especially ’cause we’re pretty sure it’s the best song ever written. She writes:
Konichiwa Bitches is released today!!! And to celebrate, I’m giving away a free download of a very special version of the track to all my fans who’ve signed up to the newsletter. It’s a version me and Klas Ahlund made in the beginning of the recording of the album, and it’s been sitting in his computer until now waiting for somewhere to be played. I hope you enjoy, this is my way of saying thanks for all your support and giving a little something back!

I really don’t understand the appeal with her…her tracks wear on the ears SO quickly.
Robyn’s use of Close to Me just pisses me off. She would have nothing were it not for the background music that isn’t even hers, seeing as her lyrics are quite ridiculous. “Konichiwa Bitches”…?

how come no mention of the fact that this is like the good twin of “Hump my Lumps”? I remember you linked to that Hua Hsu article about how Fergie was Satan for producing “HmLs” (which is too true).
Well “Konichiwa Bitches” is the ezzact same thing but the ezzact opposite at the same time. It’s a raunchy song about how her body is bangin, but it’s not so-bad-it-hurts-the-mind.
For all those talkin trash about Robyn: SAVE IT! She’s an artist, so her stuff is artistic. She’s not just some pop princess fitting the mold and coasting on sex appeal. Though she could because she’s hella sexy when she wants. Doubt me? Do some research. Watch Keep This Fire Burning. She’s always cute but she’s really SMOKIN HOT in that one!
They tried to do that when she hit the states with Robyn Is Here. She wasn’t about to sell out so she said to hell with it and went back to Europe. Besides, as one smart person pointed out, Konichiwa Bitches is a quirky parody. I am not a fan of the usual pop but she is not the usual. She’s way more talented than she’s given credit for. Believe It!
