One of the few bands we missed on our small “must see” list before hitting Austin, Blonde Redhead, will be on the road for a month starting mid-April for their excellent (and most pop effort to date) 23. They also avoided booking 23 shows for the jaunt, which is probably for the best. The trek kicks off with a release-day show (4/10) at the Apple Store in SoHo, which suddenly has become the Bowery Presents of free, in-store performances. But you can’t get your beer on at the Apple store, so take the jump for the list of gigs in traditional, less computerized venues (including a stop at Coachella) — and for the two of you that somehow have yet to download the record’s stunning title track, that’s there, too.

I wish they would come to Philadelphia. They have to take the day off between DC and New York?
