Great new cut from the pride of Springfield, Missouri. A funny thing happened to SSLYBoris Yeltsin on the way to a proper recording studio; along with the expected fidelity boost to the tracks, they’ve somehow begun to resemble a Rob Crow side project. It’s a tad math-ier than the stuff on their excellent, bedroom debut Broom, sure, but the Crow shows more in their melodies. Maybe they’ve discovered Pinback? Either way, awesome direction for ‘em.

Hmmm.. I like this song, but it doesn’t really measure up to anything on Broom for me. It’s good though, and I still have very high hopes that their next record will be completely excellent.
Agreed. Broom does it for me.
trust me – springfield mo has no clue who sslby is.
interesting song, but it doesn’t do much for me.
trust me, everyone knows who they are
then youve never been to springfield. they know who toby keith is. but not sslyby
agreed, brad…saw sslyby in springfield last summer and the town definitely knows who they are, they had a great turn-out. also, they had an old guy come out of the crowd to play tambourine. great show.
We actually drank with the band down at SXSW, and they were really amazing. Sadly, only a few people have watched the interview: http://www.genartpulse.com/archives/2007/03/midwestern_rock.php
phil = nicest guy ever.
Works for me. Thanks
Aw, they make great music and happen to be fantastic people! Thanks for this.
I agree as well. I hope they make the second coming of Oregon girl.
Damn. No New York concerts?
