GvsB points us to a bundle of goodies from Texas’s Tacks, The Boy Disaster, whose Oh, Beatrice EP of last year will suit those looking for another Grizzly Bear to cozy up to. There’s more to the band than just the Bear (tunes like “Frozen Feet” offer a Nigel Godrich-styled sound), but this one is heavy on the Grizz. The sprawling vid for “Forget-Me-Not,” directed by Super!Alright!, is rife with desultory scenes and images (our fave is the animated gnome, ’cause why not) — but it manages to stay with the tune’s dreamy vibe.

Hear more from the band’s Oh, Beatrice EP at MySpace, or download their recent session at Daytrotter.

Haha wow! My friend’s cousin manages Tacks The Boy Disaster. She’s been telling me they were good and I was like yeah I should really really check them out. And then you go and do it for me, saving me from having to go to MySpace and search for them. Thank you, Stereogum, for making my life easier.

I’m really digging the song at least in melody, but what the hell is up with that video.

Mark is right. They opened for Midlake in Phoenix and the set was great. The EP is good but the live sound was better.
