Following James Murphy’s push for “North American Scum,” LCD Soundsystem is giving consumers a slew of options for the next single off Sounds Of Silver, “All My Friends.” Depending on the format (7″ or CD), you’ll get LCD covering Joy Division’s “No Love Lost” (Bowery folks know), a new Soundsystem track called “”Freak Out/Starry Eyes,” or cover versions of “All My Friends” by John Cale or Franz Ferdinand.

That’s a headache to contemplate, so instead of sifting through the various formats and options, head to myspace.com/lcdsoundsystem now and take a listen to Franz’s Erol Alkan-produced, decidedly New Orderly take on the Sounds Of Silver gem.

All of these “All My Friends” are out May 28th via DFA/EMI.

  1. When are they releasing the two singles they’ll have in the USA? Is North American Scum out in USA?

  2. please, please stop posting when bands cover other bands. it’s so pointless and annoying.

  3. Nah. It´s not pointless. First, it´s an official release and second, it´s a cool collaboration between artists. Liked the cover. Kapranos´ voice is amazing. Liked the New Ordish sound of it. Thanx!

That’s more than worthy of a post KO….go listen to the newest Klaxons track or something if ya don’t like it

Seriously? I can’t stand this cover! It takes pretty much all the subtlety out of the original and his voice sounds vaguely out of tune/generally off. I can’t be the only one?
