Did she copy these lyrics out of Lourdes’s diary? I know this single is a throw-away gimmick- but damn, Madge could have put SOME effort into it.

    i luv the song.

“hey you!…one day it will make sense…”

it is scary how people can make nasty comments about a good song.

    hey you!…be good!

If any of you have a sane cell still left in your brains, make up your own minds and download this…it’s for a worthy cause and quite frankly I’m wondering what song the first two people who posted comments here were listening to! (Sure your computers aint broke?)
…Oh by the way for what its worth, yes it’s a little sugar laden, but Hey You gets away with being a pretty pop song with a great beat…good song!

I kinda like it-it sounds a bit like Abba and the Bee Gee’s mixed up-quite a departure for Madge.

It’s actually a good song for an “event”, whether Live Earth or USA For Africa – almost like a theme song.

It may not do well on the radio but it was never meant for the radio – something Madonna has admitted to.

I like it b/c it’s upbeat and positive, which would explain why so many don’t like it.

This song rocks! I have 2 bio kids, I have adopted 3 children and fostered many. This song makes sense to each of them…………Madonna is one of my heros. She has walked me through life with her music, influencing and guiding me with greatness that can only come from a wise one.

Like a virgin – my first love
la isla bonita – a special place
    cherish – wonderful friends
like a prayer – my special black man
live to tell – an abusive marriage
papa don’t preach – my first pregnancy
justify my love – a relationship gone bad
dear jesse – my first daughter then the others
    breathless – to fun
hung up – great connect for me and my doughters
american pie – for my country

and now the greatest one of all…..

Hey you – my bio, adopted, and foster, children
It does not get better than that……
Those who do not like this song have never looked in the eyes of a child who yearns for a mother, a family
Madonna has touched my life once more, she rocks!!

Madonna, you deserve the best of all, just because you are the greatest for all human kind ever!!! I could not imagine living without your music or just one day you wont be here with us. God save the queen.

    I was completely blindsided.

Here I was expecting some amazing dance hit, (much like the ones from her last album), especially after finding out pharell produced it. Alas it was a slap in the face.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect the fact that she is earth conscious, but the reality is songs like these rarely make a huge impact unless the lyrics are profound, and unfortunately it was leaning more towards pop lyrics.

I found songs like “jump” were a lot more inspiring than a sappy political earth jingle.

I love you Madonna, but come on, be real
