omg so so so so SO SO bad! horrible! i couldn’t even listen through to the end. and this is coming from someone who LOVED LOVED LOVED madonna back in the day (1983 thru “music! makes the people! come together”). oh, this hurts. painful painful. bad.
Did she copy these lyrics out of Lourdes’s diary? I know this single is a throw-away gimmick- but damn, Madge could have put SOME effort into it.

It’s actually a good song for an “event”, whether Live Earth or USA For Africa – almost like a theme song.

I was completely blindsided.
Here I was expecting some amazing dance hit, (much like the ones from her last album), especially after finding out pharell produced it. Alas it was a slap in the face.
Don’t get me wrong, I respect the fact that she is earth conscious, but the reality is songs like these rarely make a huge impact unless the lyrics are profound, and unfortunately it was leaning more towards pop lyrics.
I found songs like “jump” were a lot more inspiring than a sappy political earth jingle.
I love you Madonna, but come on, be real
