Back in February we heard a bit of the ninth installment of the Chemical Brothers’ “Electronic Battle Weapon” series, a harbinger of the full-length which is now but a few short weeks away. And if it was ten years ago, all this would be a lot more exciting. Still, the brothers Chemical spin on, and the vid for the forthcoming LP’s first single proves indisputably that listening to the Brit beatsmiths is the #1 way to prevent involuntary gold-tooth extraction in arid climates. (Really have no idea what’s going on in this one, play along.)

We Are The Night is out 7/2 in the UK and 7/10 on Astralwerks.

  4. The video reminds me a lot of Fatboy Slim´s “Ya Mamma”. I mean the “can´t control music dance thing”;

  5. poor chems. between all the new justices, digitalisms and simian mobile discos, and daft punk proving that they (still) own electronic music, there’s not really too much room for the brothers anymore. the last album was relevant for about oh… a month. and from what i’ve heard of this one… it’s not looking like they’re gonna taking on any french robots any time soon

    why do they have to compete against “french robots”? the chems are still amazing live, and Push The Button was way better than Come With Us. They have always had their own signature sound and keep pushing it in new ways. I’m quite positive that every time they put out a record that they are not worried if it’s up to par with what is coming out from France.

    Great Video! Although the characters and the setting are a total rip off of the movie Babel.
