I love when people remember the Gummy Bears. I have a Tummy Gummy toy in my toybox at work (yes, I have a toybox at work, gotta love college radio), and basically all my coworkers who are younger than me (I’m 24 – they range from 19 on up) have no idea who he is. But the few how are older knew exactly who he was right away.

I remember when the first TMNT ninja turtles movie came out. I was so proud of myself for knowing every word of the theme song that I started singing it really loud in the theater when the movie started. But they of course didn’t play the theme from the cartoon at the start of the movie, so I just looked like a complete dork.
I just thought I’d share. Oh, and add my vote for Captain Planet. … that poor kid’s special power was ‘Heart’… what a loser.

Holy fuck, after a minute on YouTube, my head is now full of Rescue Rangers, Tiny Toons, and Gummy Bears. I think Captain Planet, while generally an insane premise for a show, really didn’t have the greatest intro (except for “Heart!”).
Personally, I think it’s missing the song from King Arthur and the Knights of Justice.
